DMR provided construction management and inspection for this CDBG funded aquatic center which consisted of 3 bodies of water including an Olympic size swimming pool, along with an adjacent 15,000 ft2 support center. DMR was also responsible for obtaining permits from several agencies including Edison, Southern California Gas Company, the Los Angeles Community Health Department, and the Southern California AQMD.
Located in the heart of the City of San Fernando, the San Fernando Regional Pool is a fun and exciting aquatic center for the whole family to enjoy. It features an Olympic size pool with starting blocks and 3 diving boards, a small recreation pool with water slide and spray features, splash pad, patio area with tables; park-like setting and landscaping; large banquet room with outdoor veranda; small classroom/meeting room; and concession stand.
Santa Monica Municipal Pool Project

DMR provided the City of Santa Monica with construction management and contract administration services for this aquatic facility project. In order to ensure that roadway access to Santa Monica College would remain open during construction, DMR implemented extensive grading and shoring requirements. The project consisted of two separate swimming pools, four structures, a viewing deck, and a basement that houses all the pool mechanical equipment.
The Santa Monica Swim Center, recipient of the Community Enhancement Award, is a community-serving facility located at 16th and Pico. Throughout the year, the Swim Center offers a full range of programs including swim lessons, fitness classes, lifeguard training, and special community events. It also hosts several team user groups. The Swim Center is owned and operated by the City of Santa Monica.
Reconstruction of the Culver City Municipal Pool

DMR provided contract administration and construction management services for this FEMA/OES funded project that consisted of reconstructing of the existing Culver City Municipal Pool. DMR also provided the technical and administrative services necessary to negotiate a supplemental DSR with FEMA/OES.
“The Plunge” operated by the City of Culver City’s Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department is a 40,000 square-foot facility that includes a 50-meter x 25-yard Olympic size competition pool. Its heated competition pool may be set up as an eight-lane long course or a 19-lane short course venue. The facility also has a 25-yard by 52-foot diving well with one-meter and three-meter springboards. The Plunge is fully equipped to accommodate guests with special needs.
