DMR provided the City with survey, design traffic control, and construction management and inspection services to upgrade an antiquated water transmission main. The project consisted of sliplining and open trenching existing 16” and 21” riveted steel water main with 12” and 15” fusible PVC for a total length of approximately 1.5 miles. DMR assisted the City in coordinating the project with 3 adjacent municipal agencies that were impacted by the project.

DMR provided AMGEN Corporation with survey, conceptual design and final design of all civil aspects related to an 80-million-dollar state of the art building constructed in the heart of AMGEN Center, a world leader in biotechnology. As part of the final design, DMR was required to prepare grading plans, shoring plans, and waterline relocation plans to serve these two green buildings.

 

 

 

Grand Reservoirs and Pump Station

Client: City of South Pasadena

DMR provided construction management and inspection on the replacement of an existing reservoir for the City of South Pasadena. Work included demolition of the existing reservoir and construction of two 1.5-million-gallon steel tanks. The project also consisted of a large pump station and installation of approximately ½ mile of a new storm drain system.

 

 

Franklin St., Montana Ave., and 26th St. Water Main Replacement Project

Client: City of Santa monica

DMR provided Construction management and inspection services for the construction of a new 18” ductile iron pipe distribution main connection to the City’s reservoir and 8” ductile water mains to replace existing antiquated lines. The project also included replacement of service laterals, installation of new meter boxes, tie-ins along busy City intersections and required strong public relations efforts on DMR’s part.

 

Alta Canyada Pipe Lining Project

DMR provided construction management and inspection for the lining of an existing 16” transmission line within a bridge traversing the 210 Freeway. The project involved a temporary by-pass, coordination with end user water agencies, permitting through Caltrans, and extensive public relations.

 

 

Design of Sanitary Sewer and Chill Water Line for UCLA

This project consisted of the relocation/replacement of a 36” DWP water main, as well as the construction of a sewer main and chill water line within the UCLA campus. DMR provided design, technical specifications, and field engineering for the 36” water line, the sanitary sewer main, and the chill water line.
